Lunar Haze DIPA by Muskoka Brewery

Greetings and salutations friends. Monday is here and it’s time for a beer! I’m John and I’ll be your host today on The Intoxicated Review. Today’s beer is from The Hopsonic IPA Mix Pack from Muskoka Brewery. In this pack they deliver 6 cans of hoppy goodness.

  • Mad Tom IPA
  • Twice as Mad IIPA
  • Hazed and Confused Juicy IPA
  • Berry Springer Feildberry Milkshake IPA
  • Rose Cheeks Brut IPA
  • Lunar Haze DIPA

I will be doing a review on the bottom 3 beers. The top beers have been reviewed already. Let’s get to the Lunar Haze DIPA!

The Brewery:

Bracebridge, Ontario

http://muskokabrewery.com

ABV:

8.5%

IBU:

50

The Pour:

Lunar Haze poured in a murky apricot colour with a fluffy white head. Looks fantastic. Also, you could instantly smell this beer when I opened the can. More on that later….

The Aroma:

This is later. Like I said you could instantly smell this beer as soon as it was opened. I instantly picked grapefruit, orange, tropical fruits and peach. Smells amazing.

The Flavour:

That peach really comes through here and it’s not right in your face, but it’s perfect where it’s at. Next up is the orange and tropical fruits. That grapefruit takes a little bit of a backseat here and it works damn good here.

The Body:

Lunar Haze is definitely a medium bodied beer. Theres not much carbonation here which makes it pretty damn smooth and easy to drink for sure.

Overall:

Friends, this was a fantastic beer from Muskoka Brewery. To be honest, this was the best new beer I’ve had from them…. probably since Hazed and Confused. It’s just a beautifully crafted beer from open to end. Keep tuned for the next beer in this pack. Cheers and thanks for reading.

John
